A Lawyer’s Prayer

God of justice and compassion,

You have written your law

in our hearts.

Let Your Spirit be my counsel and guide

in the practice of my legal profession.

Let me never compromise the truth

but uphold it at all times.

May I seek only your will in all my dealings

with people especially with my clients.

Grant me Your wisdom

so that I may be wise

in my decision and actions.

Let me cooperate in the building up

of your kingdom on earth

through my profession.

All these I pray

in the name of Your Son Jesus, our Lord.
